1. Description
Long An glutinous rice is a high-quality sticky rice known for its medium grain, white color, and excellent flexibility. It is particularly prized for making traditional Vietnamese cakes such as Chưng Cake and Mooncake. This rice variety is exclusively grown in Long An Province, with Tan Tru being renowned for producing the best quality glutinous rice. Long An glutinous rice is extensively exported to China, the Philippines, and Malaysia.

- Appearance: Medium and stubby grains with a milky white color.
- Texture After Cooking: Soft and very sticky, ideal for traditional cakes and other dishes requiring a sticky rice texture.
- Growing Areas: Primarily Long An and Dong Thap provinces, along with several other provinces in the Mekong Delta.
