What the Verified Mark Means

The Verified mark next to a company name means the company put its own name to its profile — in writing, with a signature and a company stamp — and chose to be listed for international buyers. This page sets out exactly what that covers, and what it does not.

Two things the mark tells you
Signed by the company

The company confirmed its own identity

It supplied its tax code and business registration details, then signed them off. The profile is not anonymous, not scraped from elsewhere, and not a self-declaration nobody stands behind.

Here on purpose

The company chose to be listed internationally

On that same form the company ticked the option to appear on this English edition. It wants to be found by FDI enterprises operating in Vietnam and by buyers abroad — it is not here by accident of translation.

The evidence behind it

A profile carries the mark once the company has confirmed its details through one of two documents.

Basis one

Stamped registration form

The company completes the form — including tax code and business registration details — then signs it and applies the company stamp before returning it to us.

Basis two

Signed cooperation or advertising contract

The company signs a contract with Viet Business Information & Technology JSC, in which it provides and confirms its legal entity details.

Both routes carry a signature and a company stamp. That is the whole difference between a confirmed profile and an unconfirmed one: a named party has taken responsibility for the information, in a document, rather than typing it into a web form anonymously.

Scope — and its limits

Being precise about what a trust mark does not cover is what makes the part it does cover worth relying on.

What it confirms

  • The company is a registered business that has identified itself to us
  • Its tax code and registration details were supplied by the company itself
  • A signature and company stamp stand behind that information
  • The company chose to be listed for international buyers

What it does not confirm

  • Not an assessment or endorsement of product or service quality
  • Not a guarantee of production capacity, certifications, lead times or delivery
  • Not a prediction of how any transaction will turn out
  • Not a substitute for your own due diligence before you commit

Who is responsible for what. Business details, products, services and capabilities are provided by the company and are its responsibility. Yellow Pages Vietnam is responsible for editing and publishing, and for the Verified mark within the scope described above. We do not assess or warrant quality, and we are not a party to any transaction between a buyer and a supplier.

Where the verification happens

One company, one set of records, two languages — worth understanding if you compare a profile here with its Vietnamese counterpart.

Confirmed on the Vietnamese directory

Our editorial operation works with the company in Vietnamese, in Vietnam, and receives the signed and stamped document described above. Company records are held once and shared across the network, so the confirmed status is a property of the company, not of one website.

Selected for the English edition

This site publishes the part of that database that is relevant to FDI enterprises sourcing inside Vietnam and to international buyers sourcing from Vietnam — combined with the company's own opt-in. Not every Vietnamese company is here, and that is deliberate.

Published in English for a different reader

Company details, industry classification and product and service listings are prepared in English for readers who buy in English. The underlying facts are the same ones the company confirmed; the language and the presentation are built for a different audience.

The Vietnamese explanation of the same mark is published at trangvangvietnam.com/xac-thuc. Both describe one process, so if you ever find them saying different things, please tell us — that would be a mistake on our side.

Profiles without the mark

A missing mark is a statement about paperwork, not about the business.

Every profile on Yellow Pages Vietnam goes through the same editorial process — the same intake, the same identity check, the same classification and the same confirmation call with the company. A profile without the mark simply has not completed the step where the company signs and stamps its confirmation. Read how profiles are produced on the Editorial Team & Standards page.

Before you place an order

Our mark covers identity. These are the checks that cover everything else — standard practice for sourcing in any market, and worth doing however good a supplier looks on paper.

Ask for the business registration certificate and tax code. A confirmed company will have no difficulty sending them, and the tax code lets you check the entity yourself.
Request samples and a reference customer. Ask specifically for a buyer in your own market or product segment, not just any reference.
Verify certifications at the source. Ask for the certificate number and check it with the issuing body rather than accepting a scanned image.
Test export readiness in the conversation. Incoterms, documentation, certificates of origin and payment terms reveal quickly whether a supplier has genuinely exported before.
Arrange a visit or a third-party inspection. For a first order of any size, an on-site audit or pre-shipment inspection is the cheapest insurance available.
Use payment terms that match the level of trust. Documentary credit or staged payment protects both sides on a first transaction far better than a full advance.
Are you a Vietnamese supplier?

Confirming your details is free. It takes a completed registration form with your company signature and stamp — and on that same form you can choose to appear on this English edition, in front of FDI enterprises in Vietnam and buyers abroad.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Verified mark mean on Yellow Pages Vietnam?
The Verified mark means the company put its own name to its profile in writing. It supplied its tax code and business registration details and signed them off, either on a company-stamped registration form or in a signed cooperation or advertising contract. It is a confirmation of identity by the company itself, not an anonymous or scraped listing.
Does Verified mean Yellow Pages Vietnam guarantees the supplier?
No. The mark confirms identity and registration as declared and signed by the company. It is not an assessment or endorsement of product quality, service quality, production capacity, certifications or the outcome of any transaction. Yellow Pages Vietnam is not a party to transactions between buyers and suppliers, and buyers should carry out their own checks before committing.
Who carries out the verification?
The editorial operation of Viet Business Information and Technology JSC, the company that publishes both this English edition and the Vietnamese directories. Company records are held once and shared, so a company confirmed on the Vietnamese directory carries the same confirmed status here. This English edition publishes the part of that database that is relevant to FDI enterprises in Vietnam and to international buyers.
What evidence sits behind the mark?
One of two documents. Either a registration form on which the company entered its details including tax code and business registration, then signed and applied its company stamp; or a cooperation or advertising contract signed with Viet Business Information and Technology JSC, in which the company provided and confirmed its legal entity details. Both carry a signature and company stamp, which is what distinguishes a confirmed profile from an unconfirmed self-declaration.
Why does a company appear on the English site at all?
Because it chose to. On the registration form the company can tick the option to be published on the English international edition, and advertising contracts can cover it as well. A profile here therefore signals two things: the company confirmed who it is, and it wants to be found by FDI enterprises in Vietnam and by international buyers.
Is a profile without the Verified mark less trustworthy?
Not necessarily. Every profile on Yellow Pages Vietnam is produced by the same editorial process. A profile without the mark simply has not completed the step where the company signs and stamps its confirmation. The absence of the mark says something about paperwork, not about the business.
Does a company pay to be Verified?
No. The mark follows from the company confirming its own details in writing, not from any payment. Advertising is a separate, paid service that affects where a profile appears in listings, and it does not change how a profile is edited or checked.
How do I report incorrect information in a listing?
Contact the editorial team by email at [email protected] or by phone on +84 24 3636 9512, extension 312. Reports are accepted both from the company that owns the profile and from users consulting it. Please name the company and the detail that needs correcting so the team can act faster.
