Mung beans, also known as green gram, are small, upright, perennial herbaceous plants. Mung beans contain various types of sugars, mainly sucrose, with glucose content predominating over fructose. In addition, the fat content of mung beans has relatively high biological value, containing 20 fatty acids, including a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and linolenic acid.
