TREATING BAD ODOR OF MANUFACTURING FEED
1. Introduction:
- Currently, the animal feed industry is developing in Vietnam, the production of animal feed is increasing.
- In the process of producing animal feed, there will be odor at most stages, but the most aromatic odor is the process of steaming, drying system.
- The air flow out of the dryer with temperatures up to 950oC will bring steam and characteristic odors, the concentration of this odor depends greatly on the freshness of the material.
- Dust is generated mainly in the process of grinding, transporting, packing, etc. However, the concentration of dust discharged into the environment depends on the technology equipped for the system.
2. Details
- Odor from the manufacturing process is collected by suction at the arising position. The suction hoods are connected to the system under the action of an odor centrifugal suction accompanied by dust leading to the cloth filter.
- Air mixed with odors and dust passing through the original filter cloth, larger dust particles will be retained according to the sieve filter principle, smaller particles will stick on the surface due to collision and electrostatic attraction.
- Gradually the dust layer is thickened by forming an inert filter film, this very small size helps achieve 99% efficiency and filters very small particles thanks to the inert filter layer.
- After a while this layer of dust will become very thick making the resistance of the film very large, we have to stop passing the exhaust gas and proceed to remove the dust layer on the fabric surface.
- This operation is called reverting to filtering. Airflow is passed through the absorption tower to handle the odor. Absorbing solution is water, lime, activated carbon, air containing odors enters the absorption tower using activated carbon to treat odors present in the atmosphere where two physical absorption processes occur and Chemical absorption: as a result, the odor is retained in the solid phase, the odor removal efficiency is quite high.
- Air after absorption through the tower is sent through the chimney to discharge into the environment.
