VIETNAMESE LONG GRAIN WHITE RICE (OM 5451)
Varietal origin: OM 5451 is a long-grain aromatic rice developed through the crossbreeding of Jasmine 85 and OM 2490 varieties.
Growing characteristics: This rice is primarily cultivated in the Mekong Delta, with a short growing cycle of 90-95 days. It’s well-known for its high yield (1-1.3 tons/ha) and strong resistance to pests and diseases.
Physical characteristics: OM 5451 rice has long, slender grains with minimal gray tint and low chalkiness, giving it a slightly milky appearance. It is soft, elastic, and has a fragrant aroma.
