♦ Aspartame Production Process (Reference)
- Aspartame is made up of three chemicals: Aspartic acid, phenylalanine, and methanol. When it combines with phenylalanine, bacteria and amino acids are produced. For more bacteria to be produced, more phenylalanine is needed. Aspartame is an artificial sweetener and it is more than 200 times sweeter than cane sugar. It is sweeter than Acesulfame K.
- Aspartames sweetness lasts longer so it is often blended with other artificial sweeteners such as Acesulfame K to create an overall sugar-like taste. It is safe and reliable with pure taste. Regular intake of Aspartame will not cause symptoms such as damaged teeth, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease and does not affect blood sugar levels.
