1. Required information and documents
- Information
+ Information about the applicant (Applicant`s full name and address)
+ Information about the author of the Industrial Design (Full name and address of the author who created the industrial design)
- Required documents
+ 01 file of industrial design photos or 05 sets of photos or sets of industrial design drawings as prescribed (Each set includes overall photos/drawings, images from the front, from the back, from the left, from the right, top-down, and bottom-up)
+ Description of industrial design
+ Power of Attorney of the applicant for Elite Law Firm (According to the form)
+ Document for priority right (If any).
2. Duration
- According to regulations, industrial design registration applications are evaluated by the National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP) and concluded on the grant of industrial design patents within 10 months from the date of application. In which, the time limit for formal examination is 01 month, the application is published within 02 months from the date of application acceptance and the time limit for substantive examination of industrial design is 07 months from the date of publication of the application.
3. Validity of Industrial design patents
- Industrial design patents are valid for 5 years from the date of application and can be renewed for 2 consecutive times, each time for 5 years.
4. Fees
- The industrial design registration fee depends on the number of protection requests in an application, the number of drawings and will be charged specifically for each application.
