Hawker-ETE - Water-Based Epoxy Coating
Description: Hawker-ETE H-401WB is a two-part epoxy resin-based coating, ideal for concrete surfaces. This product offers water dispersion and a colored finish.
Uses: Acts as a primer and color coating for concrete, cement screeds, and similar surfaces.
Surface Preparation: Concrete surfaces must be mechanically prepared using abrasive blasting or scarifying equipment to remove contaminants and achieve a clean, roughened surface.
Mixing Instructions:
- Mix Part A (Hardener) and Part B (Resin) in a 50:50 ratio by weight.
- Add 10% fresh water to achieve the desired consistency.
- Begin by mixing Part A with a low-speed electric stirrer (300-400 RPM) for 1 minute. Then, add Part B to Part A and continue mixing for 2 minutes until a uniform mixture is achieved.
Application Tools: Suitable tools include squeegees, trowels, and rollers.
Technical Details:
- Pot Life: Approximately 240 minutes at 30°C.
- Waiting Time/Overcoating: 6 hours to 1 day before applying the next coating layer.
Limitations: Do not apply Hawker-ETE H-401WB on substrates with rising moisture.
