1. Introduction:

2. Uses:
- Application in Magnetic Resonance (MRI) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) imaging: Helium is used as a refrigerant to make superconducting magnets and provide an extremely strong magnetic environment used to studying the internal structure of an object.
- Clean Hydrogen: Clean liquid hydrogen tanks and piping systems where other inert gases are likely to freeze.
- In welding technology: In mixed form, Helium gas is used as a protective gas for high quality welding technology such as MIG and TIG. It is especially useful for standard and high quality welding of Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Titanium, Copper alloys.
- Metal hardening: In combination with Nitrogen and Argon, Helium gas is used to optimize the heat transfer process in a vacuum furnace and tempering of aviation alloys and steel tools to achieve metallurgical characteristics as desired.
