Aramid Fiber

 

ALKEX®, short for aromatic polyamide, is a high-performance synthetic fiber developed by HS Hyosung Advanced Materials using proprietary technology. Known as the "golden fiber" due to its light-yellow hue, aramid fiber offers exceptional heat resistance and strength — with tensile strength five times greater than steel — making it an essential material in defense, industrial, and high-performance applications.

 

 

 

ALKEX® is a para-aramid fiber originally developed in 2003 and successfully commercialized in 2009. Its superior tensile strength and outstanding resistance to heat (withstanding temperatures over 500°C), abrasion, impact, and chemicals make it an ideal material for ballistic protection and reinforcement. This ultra-durable fiber is so strong that even bullets cannot penetrate it, and yet it remains lightweight and flexible — durable enough to protect soldiers and, hypothetically, superheroes alike.
