Application of Flake Lining in Protecting Metal and Concrete Surfaces

Corrosion protection for settling tanks, pure water tanks, water storage tanks in the food and pharmaceutical industries, liquid mixing equipment with sludge, chemical solutions, acids, saltwater pipelines, large-area and large-volume marine structures made of metal or concrete materials, requiring fast, safe, economical, and efficient construction methods, environmental safety, high-temperature resistance, and strong corrosion resistance. The method of applying mortar (glass flake mortar and filler) is an economical and safe solution for protecting equipment quite well today.

TFS (Tin-Free Steel) Industry (Chemical Line Tank and Storage Tank)

Ha Thanh applies the OHJI Flake HF-141 mortar system to the Chemical Line Tanks of high-grade tin-free steel (TFS) coating production lines. Coating OHJI HF-141 on metal surfaces operating at high temperatures does not cause corrosion or discoloration of the tin plating, nor does it degrade the properties of the plating material. Because OHJI Flake HF-141 has excellent corrosion resistance after coating, it is often applied to both sides of the production line.

Chemical Industry (Salt Mixing Concrete Tank)

Ha Thanh applies the OHJI Flake HF-161 mortar system (Lining System No. C-4-2.5) coating HF-161 mortar in combination with 3 layers of FRP fiber membrane to prevent corrosion and penetration of the outdoor concrete tank designed for mixing and dissolving salt to produce NaOH solution. The concrete tank is designed as a semi-submerged, semi-elevated structure for economic efficiency, cost savings, and a longer lifespan compared to steel tank designs.

Ha Thanh has specialized Pinhole Detector equipment to check for holes when leakage or cracks occur on the concrete surface after applying the coating layers.

The 1,650m2 project was coated with OHJI HF-161 + FRP mortar with a protective thickness of 2.5mm.

Electrical Industry (Concrete Water Treatment Tank)

Ha Thanh provides heat-resistant, chemical-resistant, and anti-corrosion glass flake mortar products and binders from OHJI Glass Flake for contractors to self-perform.

Electrical Industry (FGD Flue Gas Desulfurization Absorption Tower)

Heat-resistant and chemical-resistant glass flake mortar is widely applied to FGD (Flue-gas desulfurization) equipment in the environmental treatment of power plants. Coating chemical-resistant mortar that can withstand high temperatures and prevent equipment corrosion is one of the high-efficiency anti-corrosion solutions currently available.
