HIBISCUS SAGITTIFOLIUS KURZ
Overview
- The plant is not only a beautiful flower, it is also a natural medicine with extremely good health effects.
- Scientific name Abelmoschus Sagittifolius. Belongs to Cam Quy family (also known as: Hibiscus family)
- It is a herbaceous plant about 50cm to 1 meter tall. The trunk is quite weak, so it will sometimes grow near a big tree to lean on. Although it is a herbaceous plant, the roots are large, shaped like a light yellow or white Ginseng tuber
- It grows in many places in Vietnam. However, in large quantities, it is exploited in the mountainous areas of Nam Dan, Thanh Chuong and Huong Son districts (Nghe An, Ha Tinh). A few other localities in Quang Binh, Hoa Binh and the Northwest can also see large numbers of this species.
Planting process
- Based on the companys requirements for growing clean medicinal plants, the technical department prepares a technical procedure for growing and caring for medicinal plants based on the IPM program (Integrated Pest Management) and GlobalGAP standards.
Planting season
- It can be grown all year round, but if planted without calculating and taking advantage of favorable weather conditions, it will be costly and inefficient.
- It is suitable for a temperate climate, with a sufficiently moist soil and a moderate need for water. For the convenience of harvesting in the dry season, the planting time is around January-March.
Planting land
- Depending on the soil conditions of each locality to choose the right type of soil and location. Can be grown on sandy soil, red soil, red basalt soil, black soil, can be intercropped with industrial crops such as rubber, cashew, durian, etc.
Seed
- Seeds are free from pests and diseases, remove impurities, high uniformity, humidity ± 5%
- Amount of seed: ± 1kg of seeds/ha (±80,000 seeds)
Weeding
- Principle: Handmade, absolutely do not use pesticides to eliminate weeds.
Fertilizer
- Basal fertilizing
Processed microbial organic fertilizers according to the manufacturers recommendations.
Time to apply: can be applied once before planting, or divided into 2 times/crop
- Top dressing
Pure: N: 414kg, P: 244kg, K: 400kg
Commercial products: Bio-Urea: 800kg, MAP: 400kg, K2SO4: 800kg
Watering
- The watering system must be designed and installed according to the companys instructions before planting. The water source will be treated through a filter system before watering the plants.
Plant protection products
- When using pesticides, it must be approved by the company.
- Do not use growth stimulants.
- Use biologic drugs or drugs of biological origin.
