1. What is ash wood?
Ash wood has the scientific name Fraxinus, also known as Ash. This is a natural wood imported from North America and Eastern Europe. It features beautiful straight grain lines, a uniformly coarse surface, and strong durability. Ash wood has a wide range of applications and is used in many products such as furniture, flooring, curved items like stair handrails, sports equipment, and more.

2. Characteristics of ash wood
Ash wood has a light color - its sapwood is nearly white, while the heartwood is primarily yellow-brown or pale brown. Belonging to the olive family, Ash grows widely across the eastern United States and accounts for about 3-5% of the total hardwood volume. White Ash grows throughout the Appalachian hardwood region. Wood grown in lowland areas generally develops faster, making it lighter and softer in texture. Wood from higher elevations grows more slowly, therefore heavier and harder. Overall, Ash wood is well-known for its excellent bendability and reparability.
