Applications

- Wood Treatment: Applied as a borax solution on wood surfaces or soaked in borax water to prevent termite damage and inhibit other pests.
- Insecticide: An ingredient in ant-killing products, such as Nippons ant bait containing 5.5% borax.
- Food Use (Limited): Used in some Vietnamese and Chinese food production to improve texture in noodles, rice vermicelli, and sausages. However, excessive consumption poses significant health risks.
