2) Sticks making process without toxic chemicals at Tri Phat:
Step 1: Pre-process the shrimp in the forest to avoid the ingredients being damaged due to being left for a long time. After that, the toothpicks are transferred to processing facilities to prepare for flavoring and steaming.
Step 2: The toothpick is soaked in cinnamon and steamed for 5-6 hours to absorb the aroma and the bacteria in the ingredients are destroyed by the heat.
Step 3: After the finished product, the toothpick is packaged by heat stamping rather than using chlorine or silicon to glue. In addition, the toothpick maker must also ensure hygiene so that when exposed, the toothpick is not contaminated.
