1. Definition of pulverised quicklime:

➤ Pulverised quicklime, chemically known as CaO, is a solid form of lime that easily reacts with water or steam. When it contains no impurities, it is pure white. However, because it often contains metal oxides, nonmetals or small amounts of earth, the lime is usually milky or off-white in color.

➤ After mining, lime lumps are made through the process of burning natural limestone. As the following step, the natural limestone will react and produce quicklime (CaO) and carbon dioxide (CO2). Quicklime is then finely ground and formed into small lumps, creating products possesses convenient properties with high CaO content meeting all needs.

➤ The fine grinding of lime lumps increases the ability to absorb moisture. Therefore, the product can become the perfect additive in the production of building materials.

2. Properties of pulverised quicklime:

➤ Main ingredients: 100% finely ground lime lump

➤ Content of the products:

• CaO < 95%
• MgO <10%
• Insoluble matter: < 0.5%

3. Usage and application:

➤ Improvement of ponds: Amount of use: 10-15 kg/ 100m2.

• If there are no fish or shrimp in the pond, etc.: Spread lime directly into the pond or lake.
• If under the pond (lake) there are fish, shrimp, etc: Leave the lime in the air, water the lime, wait for the lime to peel off and cool, then spread it in the pond (lake).

➤ Lowering alum in soil: Overcoming the leaching of alum after rain and alum from the bottom of the pond.

• With ponds for raising juvenile fish: Mix with water, collect clear water and throw it into the pond (can be done multiple times). Amount of use: 3-4 kg / 100m2.
• With large fish and shrimp ponds: mix with water, no need to interlock, into the pond. Amount of use: 1-2 kg/100m2.
• With fish rafts: put lime in small cloth bags, hang on the raft, at the head of the stream. Amount used: 2-4 kg/10m3 of water in the raft.

➤ Decrease the suspended organic compound in the water after rain, reducing the turbidity (NTU) of the water.

• Amount of use: 1-2 kg / 100m2. Mix lime with water and throw it all over the pond.

➤ Prevent diseases for shrimp and fish: During farming, once every 10 - 15 days, apply 1-2 kg of lime per 100m2. For rafts, hang lime bags of 2-4 kg/10m3 of raft water.

➤ To improve the soil (acid acid soil) to plant trees

➤ Acts as inorganic fertilizer to provide calcium (necessary for some plants: tomatoes, peppers ...)

➤ Anti-fungal on the stem

➤ Desiccant in preserving agricultural products

➤ Disinfect livestock barns

➤ Sweeping the wall: mix 1kg of lime/ 6-7 liters of water and sweep it directly on the wall
