CARGO WEIGHT INSPECTION
❉ Arrchimedes` principle (Law of density)
- Archimedes` principle is the basic natural law of density that was first discovered by Acsimet, a Greek mathematician and inventor, in the 3rd century BC. The principle states that "any object floating or immersed in a liquid is subjected to a force directed from below to up, having a value equal to the weight of the liquid mass of the displaced object."
- The above principle is the basic principle of determining the volume of bulk cargo loaded onto or unloaded from cargo ships. Draft assessment is one of the methods to accurately determine the weight of cargo.
❉ Types of inspection
- Inspection of mass by volume
- Weight monitoring with a watch scale
- Weight monitoring with a bench scale
- Mass monitoring with weightbridge
❉ Inspection methods and standards
- National and International Standards such as TCVN, ISO, ASTM/ ANSI/ ASQC Z1.4/ STD-105E/ SO 2859, Maritime Code, Commercial Law, local conditions and regulations.
❉ Inspection report/certificate
- Report to the customer on the progress of the inspection, accompanied by photos reflecting the condition of the goods, the loading and unloading activities.
- Report in detail 24/24 hours to customers about incidents, abnormal conditions that may affect the quality or quantity of goods.
- Supply certificate according to ISO 17020 standard.
