EPOXY ADHESIVE E44

1. Product Introduction – Epoxy Adhesive E44:

• Epoxy Adhesive E44, when combined with Triethylene Tetramine hardener in a ratio of Adhesive to Catalyst = 4:1 (or 7:3), is utilized for wood tenon joints, lateral wood bonding, stone-to-wood bonding, ceramic-to-wood applications, etc.

• Origin: China

• E44 epoxy is commonly sold as a two-part system: 20kg of adhesive in a metal drum and 5kg of hardener in a plastic container.

• Alternatively, the hardener of E44 may be used with Epoxy Resin NP 128s, potentially yielding even superior performance to the standard E44 formulation.

• The E44 hardener offers quick drying and a lower viscosity (post-mixing) compared to epoxy adhesives that use a 1:1 mixing ratio hardener (e.g., Hardener 317). However, due to its rapid curing, the resulting bond tends to be more brittle than that achieved with Hardener 317—this is a known limitation of the E44 formulation.

2. Instructions for Use – Epoxy Adhesive E44:

• Always wear gloves and a face mask during application.

• Clean the bonding surfaces thoroughly.

• Ensure the surfaces are dry (for wood substrates, the permissible moisture content is between 8–15%).

• Mix Component A (adhesive) and Component B (catalyst) in a 4:1 ratio.

• Stir the mixture until a uniform color is achieved.

• The prepared adhesive must be used within a maximum of 10 minutes (Note: The more volume the mixture is prepared in, the faster it cures, thus shortening the workable time. Therefore, we recommend preparing only as much as needed for each application to minimize waste).

• Apply the adhesive evenly on the bonding surfaces.

• The curing time post-application is approximately 2–3 hours.

• A minimum of 4 hours should elapse before machining or further processing the bonded materials (users may adjust the amount of Component B to shorten or extend curing time, though such adjustments are not encouraged).

• Immediately notify the supplier should any quality issues arise.
