In a time when sericulture was being forgotten, she chose not to let it go. Instead, she found new value in what others had discarded: the imperfect cocoons that couldn’t be reeled into fine silk.
Patiently, she hand-spun these rejected cocoons into raw silk threads – slightly coarse, but strong, lustrous, and full of character. These threads are then woven on traditional looms to form the base of a soft, sturdy, and soulful silk fabric.
