Types of Air Dampers
🔹 VCD Damper
- VCD Damper is used to maintain or control the air volume inside the duct.
- Adjust airflow by adjusting damper blade opening with quadrant or screw handle.
- The blades maybe parallel or opposed type depending on requirement.
- VCD Damper can be mounted directly either on horizontal or vertical air duct.

🔹 Motorized Damper
- MD Damper is used to adjust air flow by automatically adjusting the blades opening through the actuator.
- The actuator receives input signals from the differential pressure sensor, building control system.
- MD Damper can be mounted directly either on horizontal or vertical air duct
Control: Actuator Belimo, Nenutech, KLB, SMV, etc.
🔹 Non Return Damper
- Non Return Damper is designed to allow air flow in one direction. When the blades open, they causes no signifi-cant pressure loss for the system.
- For fan systems installed in parallel with the same air duct, NRD helps prevent reverse air flow when a fan stops operating.
- NRD Damper always remains closed when the system stops operating.

🔹 Pressure Relief Damper
- Pressure Relief Damper is a type of air damper designed to operate automatically in response to pressure fluctuations. When the air pressure exceeds the set limit, the damper opens, allowing air to escape. Conversely, when the pressure s below the set limit, the damper closes automatically.
- PRD dampers are typically installed in duct systems within buildings and factories to ensure safety and protect the ductwork from damages when the system pressure exceeds safe limits.

- Blast Damper is a damper designed to protect the safety of systems, equipment as well as residents in a building when an explosion occurs.
